Summary:
This paper proposes using commercial off the shelf (COTS) PC games as a testbed for military research. “The availability of these types of AI editing tools has enabled HBR researchers to use games as testbeds for conducting research to advance their HBR technique. For example, Laird has used Quake extensively in support of AI development. Additionally, AI research at the MOVES Institute at the Naval Postgraduate School has involved commercial PC games.”
